Building on the popular Backcountry system, the Pintop is designed for those who want to take their ride to the next level, ensuring that every journey—whether on the highway or the trail—is smooth and controlled.

Why Choose the Pintop System?

  • All-Around Performance:
    • The Pintop is a Jack-of-all-trades, offering exceptional ride quality for daily driving while expertly handling light to medium-duty off-road adventures. Most of our demonstration videos showcase the Pintop, highlighting its incredible versatility.

  • Enhanced Shock Technology:
    • Equipped with Carli-specific, blueprinted King 2.5” shocks, providing 55% more piston surface area than standard 2.0” shocks—arguably the upgrade these trucks should have come with from the factory!
    • Custom-designed pistons ensure proper base flow rates, tuned for optimal seat-of-the-pants feel, making every drive an exhilarating experience.

  • Durable Construction:
    • Shocks are made from solid 17-4 Stainless Steel, eliminating the risk of coating wear. Even if they incur small chips, you can easily repair them with emery cloth, ensuring longevity.
    • Finished with King oil rated for temperatures as low as -55°F, these shocks are built to withstand the test of time and weather.

Ride Height and Travel Enhancements:

  • Increased Front Height:
    • The Pintop system raises your truck 4.5” in the front, thanks to taller Progressive Rate Coil Springs that provide additional wheel travel for improved comfort and performance.

  • Optimized Front Geometry:
    • Radius Arm Drop Brackets reset the pivot point, ensuring linear travel for the best ride quality.
    • Sway Bar Link & Drop Brackets Kit: Resets the sway bar engagement point. An End Link Kit is essential for proper function and is available as an option.
    • A future Torsion Sway Bar upgrade will be available, enhancing your vehicle's handling even further.
    • Bump Stop Drops: Protect shocks from over-compression.
    • Adjustable Track Bar: Centers the front axle for improved handling.
    • Stainless Brake Lines: Ensure proper braking performance with enough length for increased travel.
    • Caster Shims: Tighten steering responsiveness.

Rear Suspension Customization:

  • Leaf Spring Options:
    • The rear can be outfitted with a Full Progressive Spring Pack (reducing load capacity to a “light” ¾-ton) or a Progressive Add-a-Pack that maintains payload capacity while pairing with a Carli Fabricated 2” block.

  • F250 vs. F350 Considerations:
    • The F250 uses a lighter rate spring pack (2 main leaves), while the F350 features a stiffer setup (3 main leaves).
    • The F250 Add-A-Pack provides a significant upgrade over stock, while the F350 Add-A-Pack may remain stiff unless loaded.

  • Capacity Solutions:
    • We recommend the Full Replacement Leaf Spring Packs for both trucks, especially for the F350, which tends to have very stiff factory springs.
    • For those concerned about capacity, the Full Progressive Leaf Springs can be supplemented with Long-Travel Airbags to restore factory capacities for SRW F350 models.
    • The Full Progressive Leaf Spring Pack shifts the axle slightly forward, allowing for maximum tire clearance with 37” M/T tires at full compression.

Wheel and Tire: Factory Wheels SHOULD NOT be run with oversized tires. They’re known to rub the radius arm, sway bar and most concerning – Brake Lines. Factory tires and factory wheels will work without issue but we DO NOT recommend running oversized tires on factory wheels. On our 4.5” Ford Systems, we recommend 17”-18” wheels, no more than 9” wide with 5” of backspacing with a 37”, E-Rated Tire. The more rubber, the better the small bump compliance will be at proper inflation pressures. The ride will firm up as you go larger in wheel diameter.
