Key Features of the King 3.0” Suspension System:

  • Innovative Shock Design:
    • Equipped with Carli Signature tuned, King 3.0” Remote Reservoir shocks, this system boasts massive 10” travel front shocks crafted for optimal fitment without any cutting or welding on factory mounts—just bolt-in convenience!
    • Rear shocks feature a Piggy-Back reservoir configuration, with provided weld-in shock mounts designed to offset the oversized shock body and enhance durability.

  • Superior Ride Quality:
    • The 3.0” shocks offer a piston surface area that is 45% larger than a 2.5” King shock and 126% larger than factory 2.0” shocks. This increased surface area allows for exceptional off-road performance while delivering an on-road ride that rivals the plushness of the E-Venture system.
    • Custom-designed pistons ensure proper base flow rates, fine-tuned for the heavy-duty truck platform to deliver a seat-of-the-pants feel that customers rave about.

  • Durable Construction:
    • Built with shafts machined from solid 17-4 Stainless Steel, these shocks are designed to withstand the elements without the worry of wear from coatings. Minor chips can be easily smoothed with emery cloth, ensuring long-term reliability.
    • Finished with King oil rated to perform in temperatures as low as -55°F, these shocks are ready for any adventure.

Enhanced Vehicle Dynamics:

  • Increased Ride Height:
    • Your truck will sit 5.5” higher in the front, complemented by taller Progressive Rate Coil Springs for improved wheel travel and overall stability.

  • Optimized Front Geometry:
    • Radius Arm Drop Brackets reset the pivot point for linear travel, while Bump Stop Drops protect the shocks from over-compression.
    • An Adjustable Track Bar centers the front axle, and Stainless Brake Lines ensure proper braking performance with increased travel.

  • Sway Bar Enhancements:
    • The system includes a Sway Bar Link & Drop Brackets Kit to adjust sway bar engagement. The End Link Kit is necessary for optimal performance, with plans for a Torsion Sway Bar upgrade coming soon.

Rear Suspension Options:

  • Leaf Spring Configurations:
    • Choose between a Full Progressive Spring Pack (reducing capacity to a “light” ¾-ton) or a Progressive Add-a-Pack that maintains factory payload capacity while pairing with the included Carli Fabricated 2” block.

  • F250 vs. F350 Compatibility:
    • Since 2008, the F250 and F350 have different spring packs; the F250 has a lighter rate pack compared to the F350's stiffer setup.
    • For optimal performance, we recommend the Full Replacement Leaf Spring Packs, especially for F350 models with stiff factory springs.

  • Capacity Solutions:
    • If you need to restore factory capacity, the Long-Travel Airbags (coming soon for the 2017 model) will complement the Full Progressive Leaf Springs, ensuring your truck handles heavy loads with ease.
    • The Full Progressive Leaf Spring Pack will also shift the axle slightly forward for maximum tire clearance with 37” M/T tires at full compression.

 

Wheel and Tire: Factory Wheels SHOULD NOT be run with oversized tires. They’re known to rub the radius arm, sway bar and most concerning – Brake Lines. Factory tires and factory wheels will work without issue but we DO NOT recommend running oversized tires on factory wheels. On our 4.5” Ford Systems, we recommend 17”-18” wheels, no more than 9” wide with 5” of backspacing with a 37”, E-Rated Tire. The more rubber, the better the small bump compliance will be at proper inflation pressures. The ride will firm up as you go larger in wheel diameter.
