FOX 2.0 Performance Series Snap Ring Struts and Rear Shocks

The FOX 2.0 Snap Ring package is an excellent option for F-150 owners who want improved damping while retaining the factory front coil springs and upper mounting hardware.

FOX 2.0 Performance Series Snap Ring struts directly replace the factory dampers. A custom-molded spring seat allows the factory spring and mounting components to be reused, while three preset spring-seat positions provide approximately 0, 1, or 2 inches of front lift.

The 2-inch aluminum monotube bodies improve heat dissipation and resist corrosion. An internal floating piston separates the shock oil from the high-pressure nitrogen chamber, helping prevent aeration and maintain consistent damping.

FOX 2.5 Performance Elite front coilovers feature larger-diameter shock bodies and external reservoirs for increased fluid capacity and improved heat dissipation. The integrated springs support the vehicle’s weight and allow preload and ride-height adjustment.

Dual Speed Compression adjusters provide independent control over low-speed and high-speed compression damping. With 10 low-speed and 12 high-speed settings, the shocks can be tuned for daily driving, towing, added accessories, changing terrain, and higher-speed off-road use.

Heavy-Duty BDS Upper Control Arms

Every package includes heavy-duty BDS upper control arms designed to improve strength, alignment capability, and suspension travel at the new ride height.

The control arms use 1.5-inch-diameter, 0.120-wall tubular construction with indexed ball-joint cups. The corrected ball-joint position allows additional down travel and camber adjustment compared to using the factory upper control arms with a leveling kit.

Adaptive Headlight Compatibility

Some 2021–2026 Ford F-150 models use a ride-height sensor mounted to the upper control arm as part of the adaptive-headlight system. BDS offers control-arm configurations for trucks with and without this sensor.

Inspect the factory upper control arms before ordering. Trucks with adaptive headlights typically have a sensor and linkage attached to the driver-side upper control arm. The correct control-arm configuration must be selected to retain proper sensor positioning.

The adaptive-headlight control arms are intended for models with a driver-side-mounted sensor. They are not designed for vehicles equipped with sensors on both front upper control arms.

Wheel and Tire Fitment

This BDS leveling kit can provide clearance for up to 35-inch tires with the correct wheel specifications. Recommended wheel and tire combinations vary by shock package and vehicle configuration.

Common BDS recommendations include:

• 35x12.50 tires with 20x9 wheels and approximately 5.5 inches of backspacing
• FOX 2.5 package: 33x12.50 tires with 17x9 wheels and approximately 5 inches of backspacing
• Select 35x12.50 applications may require approximately 4.75 inches of wheel backspacing

Trimming may be required. Actual clearance depends on wheel width, offset, backspacing, tire manufacturer, alignment settings, and the truck’s factory equipment.

Important Fitment Notes

• Fits applicable 2021–2026 Ford F-150 4WD models.

• ADAS camera, radar, LiDAR, and driver-assistance system recalibration may be required after installation.
