CARLI 2021+ FORD BRONCO REAR FABRICATED CONTROL ARMS

Upgrade the strength, articulation, and rear suspension geometry of your Ford Bronco with the Carli Suspension Rear Fabricated Control Arms. Rather than simply building a stronger version of the factory arm, Carli addressed rear axle position, suspension articulation, ride quality, and durability as part of the design. The arm geometry corrects the rear axle position to better center the tire at full compression while Carli's high-misalignment joints allow the suspension to move freely throughout its travel.

Heavy-Duty 3/16" Fabricated Steel Construction

While billet aluminum is an excellent material for many suspension components, rear control arms live in one of the most exposed areas underneath the Bronco.

Carli intentionally chose fabricated steel construction for these arms because of their proximity to rocks, ledges, and other trail obstacles. Each control arm uses a 3/16" clam-shell design with full-length internal gussets connecting the internal structure to the exterior of the arm. Even the joint housings are tied directly into the internal structure.

The result is an extremely robust control arm designed to tolerate the impacts and abuse associated with legitimate off-road use.

Full-Length Internal Gusseting

Strength isn't limited to the exterior shell.

Carli incorporates a full-length internal structure throughout each arm, substantially increasing rigidity and distributing suspension loads throughout the assembly rather than concentrating them around individual mounting points.

This makes the Carli Rear Control Arms an excellent upgrade for Broncos running larger tires, upgraded suspension, or regularly encountering rocky and technical terrain.

Greasable & Rebuildable Carli Joints

At the pivot points, Carli replaces the factory-style bushings with its own serviceable joint design.

Each joint uses a 17-4 stainless steel ball center surrounded by Carli's grease-channeled urethane. The urethane assembly is preloaded into the control-arm housing and retained with a snap ring, providing substantial angular misalignment while maintaining the isolation necessary for a Bronco that still spends time on pavement.

Integrated Zerk fittings make routine lubrication straightforward, and the serviceable construction means worn components can be rebuilt rather than requiring replacement of the entire control arm.

Increased Rear Suspension Articulation

Factory rubber bushings naturally resist movement as the rear axle articulates. As suspension travel increases, that bind can work against the shocks and limit how freely the rear axle moves.

Carli's high-misalignment joint design allows considerably more rotational movement at the control-arm pivots, helping the rear axle articulate without forcing the bushings to twist against the suspension.

The result is a rear suspension that can move more naturally through uneven terrain while maintaining the controlled road manners expected from a dual-purpose Bronco. Carli specifically lists the arms as providing improved ride quality compared with the factory components.

Corrected Rear Axle Position

Suspension lift changes more than ride height—it also changes where the rear axle travels throughout the suspension's arc.

Carli engineered the CS-BRCA-21 control-arm geometry to correct rear axle position and center the tire at full bump, helping optimize tire placement as the suspension moves through compression.

This geometry is especially valuable on Broncos running larger tires and performance suspension where maximizing available wheel-well clearance becomes increasingly important.

Built for Rock Contact

Carli originally considered machining these arms from billet aluminum to match its Bronco Front Upper Control Arms but ultimately determined that fabricated steel was the better material for this location.

Because the rear control arms sit low on the chassis and can make direct contact with rocks and trail obstacles, Carli prioritized impact resistance and structural durability over the cosmetic appeal of billet construction.

For a Bronco built to actually leave the pavement, that philosophy makes the CS-BRCA-21 an especially appropriate upgrade.
